Ingredients
- 1/2 lb (225 grams) pasta (spaghetti, penne, fusilli)
- 3/4 cup (160 grams) cream cheese
- 1/4 cup (30 grams) grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1–2 garlic cloves, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve about 1 cup of cooking water before draining.
- In a skillet over low heat, sauté minced garlic in olive oil for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
- Add cream cheese and reserved pasta water; stir until smooth.
- Mix in parmesan cheese until fully incorporated.
- Combine cooked pasta with the sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Adjust consistency with more pasta water if needed.
- Serve immediately, garnished with extra parmesan and black pepper.
