  • 8 mini croissants
  • 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese (or regular cheddar), halved
  • 3/4 pound deli-cut ham
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg white
  • Poppy seeds for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Slice each croissant in half horizontally; layer half a slice of cheese, a slice of ham, and another half slice of cheese on the bottom half before placing the top half back.
  3. In a small bowl, mix softened butter with mustard, honey, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  4. Spread the butter mixture on the inside of each croissant sandwich.
  5. Arrange the sandwiches in the baking dish.
  6. Whisk together egg white with water; brush over the tops and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
