- 2 ½ cups beef broth
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
- ½ lb. egg noodles (uncooked)
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce (can sub Worcestershire sauce)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon EACH: garlic powder, mustard powder, dried thyme
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- Salt/Pepper
Instructions
- In a large measuring cup, combine beef broth, chicken bouillon cube, soy sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, mustard powder, dried thyme, and heavy cream; set aside.
- Heat a deep skillet over medium-high heat and cook seasoned ground beef with diced onions until browned (7-10 minutes). Drain grease.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute. Stir in flour to create a roux.
- Gradually add the prepared sauce mixture while stirring until it boils; reduce heat to simmer and stir in the cream of mushroom soup for 10 minutes.
- Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain.
- Stir shredded cheese into the sauce until melted; add back the cooked beef.
- Mix in the drained noodles until well combined; serve hot.
