  • 1 pound large shrimp, raw and deveined
  • 1 pound top sirloin steak, cut into cubes
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 3 tablespoons blackened seasoning
  • Kosher salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta in salted boiling water until al dente; drain.
  2. Toss shrimp with 1 teaspoon blackened seasoning; sear in a skillet with vegetable oil until pink.
  3. Sear cubed steak in the same skillet with another teaspoon of blackened seasoning until browned.
  4. In the skillet, melt butter and sauté onions and garlic. Add cream, then stir in parmesan cheese and remaining seasoning.
  5. Combine cooked pasta, shrimp, and steak into the sauce; toss well to coat.
