Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. softened butter
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 white onion, finely diced
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. yellow mustard
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- pepper, to taste
- 1 pack dinner rolls, 12 count (King's Hawaiian Savory Butter Rolls)
- 16 slices American cheese (Boar's Head)
- 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- pinch of salt and garlic powder
- 2 tsp. white sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 Tbsp. sweet pickle relish
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. distilled white vinegar
- salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Butter the bottom of a baking sheet and set it aside.
- Heat olive oil in a medium-sized sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add the finely diced onions and sauté for about three minutes until they're soft. Next, add in the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks for another six to seven minutes until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, kosher salt, and pepper. Mix everything together for an additional minute.
- Slice the dinner rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves on your prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter with a pinch of salt and garlic powder.
- Place eight slices of American cheese on top of the bottom rolls. Then spread the cooked ground beef mixture evenly over the cheese layer. Top with another eight slices of cheese.
- Cover with the top half of the dinner rolls. Brush them generously with the melted butter mixture and sprinkle sesame seeds over them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12 to 15 minutes or until warmed through and cheese is perfectly melted. Keep an eye on them to prevent browning too quickly; cover loosely with foil if necessary.
- While baking, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, sugar, distilled white vinegar, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
- Once out of the oven, you can brush additional butter on top if desired. Cut into individual sliders and serve them warm alongside your delicious burger sauce! Enjoy!
