Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 12 dinner rolls
- 16 slices American cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 Tbsp. sweet pickle relish
- 1 Tbsp. softened butter
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 white onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. yellow mustard
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- pepper, to taste
- 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- pinch of salt and garlic powder
- 2 tsp. white sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Butter a baking sheet and set aside.
- Sauté diced onions in olive oil until soft; add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Mix in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper; combine well.
- Slice dinner rolls in half and place bottom halves on the baking sheet.
- Layer with cheese, meat mixture, and remaining cheese slices.
- Top with buns; brush with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare the burger sauce by whisking together mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
- Serve warm with the sauce on the side.
