Ingredients
- 1 lb Monon Meats Smoked Sausage, thinly sliced
- 2 lbs potatoes, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sliced smoked sausage until fully cooked; set aside.
- Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic in the same skillet until translucent (about 3–5 minutes).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine diced potatoes, cooked sausage, sautéed onion and garlic, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch dressing mix, milk, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 60 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
