- 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- 4oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- 4oz heavy cream
- 2–3 tsp vegetable oil
Instructions
- Prepare the cookie dough filling by mixing softened butter, sugars, milk, vanilla, flour, salt, and mini chocolate chips. Form small balls and refrigerate.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease three 8-inch round cake pans.
- Make the cake batter by creaming butter and sugar, then adding eggs and vanilla. Gradually mix in flour, baking powder, salt, milk, yogurt, and fold in more chocolate chips.
- Divide the batter among pans, adding dollops of cookie dough filling. Bake for about 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool completely before frosting with cookie dough buttercream and topping with chocolate ganache.
