- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (additional)
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- ½ cup water or beef broth
- 2 bell peppers (any color), sliced
- 1 yellow onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions
- Marinate the beef by combining it with soy sauce, cornstarch, rice vinegar, and sesame oil in a bowl. Let sit for at least 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sugar, cornstarch, and water/broth until smooth.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over high heat. Add marinated beef in a single layer and cook until browned (2–3 minutes per side). Set aside.
- In the same skillet, stir-fry bell peppers and onion for about 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp. Add garlic and ginger; cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- Return beef to the skillet and pour in the prepared sauce; stir well and cook for another 2–3 minutes until thickened.
- Garnish with green onions before serving hot over rice or noodles.
