  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, and water (¾ cup). Bring to a low boil.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together remaining water (¼ cup) and corn starch until dissolved. Stir into the saucepan until thickened. Remove from heat; add orange zest.
  3. In a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat, heat sesame oil. Sauté onion for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  4. Add ground turkey and cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F (about 7-10 minutes).
  5. Stir in broccoli and carrots; cook until tender (about 5-7 minutes). Pour in the teriyaki sauce and let simmer for a few minutes.
