Description

Indulge in the delightful sweetness of Hawaiian Roll French Toast, a breakfast treat that transforms soft, fluffy King’s Hawaiian Rolls into a mouthwatering dish perfect for any occasion. This recipe combines rich custard with the unique flavor of Hawaiian rolls, resulting in a cinnamon-sugar bliss that melts in your mouth. Ideal for brunches, cozy family breakfasts, or special celebrations, this easy-to-make dish will impress everyone at your table. Top it off with fresh berries or a drizzle of maple syrup for an extra touch of flavor and presentation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pack (12 rolls) King's Hawaiian Rolls
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and half and half. Add vanilla extract, cinnamon, brown sugar, and salt; mix until well combined.
  2. Poke holes in each roll with a toothpick to allow custard absorption. Dip each roll into the mixture for about 30 seconds on each side.
  3. Heat butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Cook soaked rolls for 30–60 seconds on each side until golden brown.
  4. Serve warm with powdered sugar, fresh fruit, or maple syrup as desired.
