  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • ½ tsp salt

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 110 g honey
  • 80 ml chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp chili flakes
  • Boiled rice

Instructions

  1. Toss chicken thighs with cornflour, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl until fully coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat; add the chicken and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Add butter to the pan; once melted, stir in minced garlic and reduce heat to medium.
  4. In a small bowl, combine honey, chicken stock, rice vinegar, and soy sauce; pour into the pan with the chicken.
  5. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to simmer for 4-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Garnish with parsley and chili flakes before serving over boiled rice.
