  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons non-dairy milk
  • 2 eggs or flax eggs
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup blanched almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons refined coconut oil or butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/41 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine almond butter, coconut sugar, maple syrup, non-dairy milk, melted coconut oil or butter, eggs (or flax eggs), and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined; batter will be thick.
  5. Line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper and pour in the batter. Spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 22–28 minutes; check for doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Let cool completely before slicing.
