  • 1/2 cup patriotic sprinkles
  • For the frosting: 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 & 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • pinch of sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 & 1/2 tablespoons whole milk
  • Patriotic sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and sea salt.
  3. In a stand mixer, cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time followed by vanilla.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until combined; fold in patriotic sprinkles.
  5. Spread dough in the prepared dish and bake for 25–28 minutes until golden.
  6. Cool completely before frosting with whipped buttercream topped with additional sprinkles.
