  • 1 ½ tbsp butter
  • 1 green bell pepper (chopped)
  • ½ cup onion (chopped)
  • 1 pound boneless rib-eye steak (sliced or chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 12 egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Sauté the chopped green bell pepper and onion in melted butter over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes until softened.
  2. Remove the vegetables and cook the rib-eye steak in the same pan with salt and pepper for another 3-4 minutes until browned.
  3. Mix the sautéed vegetables back into the pan with the cooked steak.
  4. Lay out egg roll wrappers and place half a slice of provolone cheese on each. Add 2-3 tablespoons of the filling and fold according to package instructions, sealing edges with water.
  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat and fry the egg rolls in batches for about 3-5 minutes or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels before serving.
