  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Warm milk to 110°F; stir in yeast and let sit until frothy.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, salt, and sugar. Blend in cubed butter until pea-sized.
  3. Combine dry mix with milk/yeast mixture, eggs, and food dye; knead until smooth.
  4. Let dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size (~1 hour).
  5. Prepare cinnamon filling by mixing butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  6. Roll out dough into a rectangle; spread filling on top.
  7. Roll tightly to form a log; cut into equal rolls.
  8. Let rolls rise for another 20 minutes before baking at 375°F for about 25-27 minutes.
  9. While baking, prepare icing by mixing cream cheese and butter; gradually add powdered sugar.
