  • 2 tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1 pound sliced Swiss cheese
  • 1 1/4 pounds sliced deli corned beef
  • 1 can sauerkraut (14 ounces)
  • 2/3 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 1 egg white (for egg wash)
  • Caraway seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. On a floured surface, unroll one tube of crescent dough and press it into a greased 13×9-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake the bottom crust for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden brown.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine rinsed sauerkraut with Thousand Island dressing.
  5. Layer half of the Swiss cheese over the baked crust, followed by all of the corned beef and the sauerkraut mixture. Top with remaining Swiss cheese.
  6. Unroll the second tube of crescent dough, seal seams and place over the layers. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with caraway seeds.
  7. Bake for an additional 12–16 minutes until golden brown on top.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before slicing into squares and serve warm.
