  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 8 oz wide egg noodles (cooked)
  • 2 cans (14 oz each) sauerkraut (drained)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cans (10.75 oz each) tomato soup
  • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion until browned; season with garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer drained sauerkraut in the baking dish followed by brown sugar.
  4. Add cooked noodles on top of the sauerkraut and spoon the beef mixture evenly over it.
  5. Mix tomato soup with water in a bowl; pour over the casserole layers.
  6. Top generously with shredded Swiss cheese.
  7. Bake for 30-45 minutes until bubbly and cheese is golden.
