  • 750g chicken breast, cut into chunks
  • 2 onions, quartered
  • 3 tsp garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp ginger, minced
  • 500g broccoli florets
  • 250ml chicken stock
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup oyster sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients: Cut chicken, quarter onions, crush garlic, mince ginger, and ensure broccoli is room temperature.
  2. In the slow cooker, combine chicken, onions, garlic, ginger, chicken stock, soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir gently.
  3. Cook on low heat for 4-6 hours.
  4. Mix cornstarch with a few tablespoons of water until smooth; add to the slow cooker about 30 minutes before serving.
  5. Add broccoli florets and cook on high for an additional 30 minutes until thickened.
