  • 1 bell pepper (red and green), sliced
  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce (divided)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (divided)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Vegetable oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Prepare steak and vegetables by slicing them into thin pieces.
  2. Marinate the steak in a mixture of 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon cornstarch, garlic powder, ginger, salt, and pepper. Refrigerate until ready to cook.
  3. Combine glaze ingredients (3 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and 1.5 tablespoons sugar) in a bowl; set aside.
  4. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat and sauté the vegetables until browned (about 3-5 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  5. Add another tablespoon of oil to the skillet; cook marinated steak until browned (5-7 minutes).
  6. Return vegetables to the skillet; pour in the glaze and stir until thickened (1-2 minutes).
