Ingredients

  • Salt
  • Instant yeast
  • Yogurt
  • Honey
  • Sunflower oil
  • Water
  • Butter
  • Grated cheese
  • Egg
  • Olive oil
  • Chicken thighs
  • Spices (cayenne powder, coriander powder, garlic powder, onion powder, red bell pepper powder, cumin powder)
  • Algerienne sauce
  • Sweet soy sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, instant yeast, yogurt, honey, sunflower oil, and lukewarm water. Mix until combined and knead for 10–12 minutes until smooth.
  2. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour until doubled in size.
  3. Roll the risen dough into two circles and layer with butter and grated cheese before cutting into triangles.
  4. Bake the crescents on a parchment-lined baking tray at 200°C (390°F) for 10–15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. In a skillet over medium heat, cook chicken thighs with spices until fully cooked. Combine with sauces and fill each crescent.
