  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, lemon juice, and optional red pepper flakes; set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the sausage until browned (about 5 minutes), then remove from the skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add shrimp seasoned with salt and pepper; cook until pink (about 2-3 minutes per side), then remove.
  4. Add broccoli with a splash of water; cover and steam until tender (3-4 minutes). Uncover to evaporate excess water.
  5. Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet; pour sauce over everything and stir well to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  6. Serve hot over cooked rice or quinoa and garnish with fresh herbs.
